Rawhide Ranch Rentals
True Western Cowboy Hotel
This is a real ranch experience...
At Rawhide, we provide you with 54 acre country playground. The ranch has traded out the modern day distractions for the panaramic view and the call of nature. You won't find a television or telephone but you will find Brown County sunset casting that golden hue across the valleys. Yank yourself into the past when communication took place face to face next to the crackling fire.
General Ranch Amenities:
Our overnight guests have access to two horseshoes pits, playground, half basketball court and 54 acres of land to play on. Let Rawhide Ranch show you how to use your imagination again. Explore our woods, stomp through our creek or just find a hillside to watch the deer. This is a ranch and not a park preserve, we don't expect you to stay on the trails when hiking.
Fishing:
The Buck Inn is surrounded by two fishing ponds. These are private stocked ponds that do not require any license or permit. We supply only the fish and the pond, you supply the rest. Keep in mind that these are catch and release, we want to make sure everyone has a chance to hook that big one.
Geocaching:
Rent a GPS unit and head into the woods to try your hand at a high tech treasure hunt. We have one cache run on the property especially for ranch guests. You can also head off into the county to search for hundreds of caches. It’s an activity for all ages and any group size from a few friends to an entire family. $15/half day rental or $25/full day rental per GPS unit.

Bicycling:
Rawhide Ranch allows bicycling on the ranch trails and parking areas. Guests are allowed to hit our trails once the horses are done working for the day or during a slow period, just check with the office staff for daily time availability.
Of course families are more than welcome to bring the kid's bikes but remember it is Brown County, there are not many flat areas for little kids to ride. If you are visiting the ranch for the area's bicycling opportunities, please visit our Bicycle Friendly Page.
Nightly campfire:
There are two firepits on the ranch property. The Buck Inn has a communal fire that is shared by all guests of the inn. The ranch house has it's own private pit. The staff of Rawhide Ranch prepare the firepit but it is up to the guests to light. Of course you can cook on it, a fire is good for more than just warmth.
Nightly campfires offer time for reflection and fellowship...because a campfire helps you see things in a different light™.
